Merry & Bright

Hello Friends! I am here today, sharing a Christmas card made with the Deck The Halls Layering Stencils on black cardstock. I wanted to create something different, and black cardstock is perfect.

I started with the black cardstock and sprayed each stencil layer with Pixie Spray. I then started with the branch layers. I used Distress Oxide inks, Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, and Bundled Sage. I used Squeezed Lemonade for the ornament hangers. Next, for the ornaments, I used Picked Raspberry and Salvaged Patina.

Next, I used the Layer It Die Set. I placed the stamp shape and the frame shape over the inked cardstock. I used Low-tack tape to hold the dies in the correct place. Once cut, I glued the stamp shape and the inner rectangle outline to a black card base.

I placed double-sided tape on the back of the frame. I trimmed an A2 acetate to fit under the frame and attached it. Next, I added foam tape between the postage shape and the inner frame. I glued a few Clear Dew Drops, Opal Sequin, and Silver Five-Pointed Stars Sequins to the background. I added loose sequins and placed the acetate panel over the foam tape.

Next, I die-cut "Merry & Bright" with the Merry & Bright Christmas Words Die Set and chunky silver glitter cardstock. Before cutting the sentiment, I used double-sided tape behind the cardstock. I glued three additional stars around the sentiment. Finally, I used a white gel pen to trace around the shapes as an added detail.
