Freshly Brewed Inspiration
I’ve been busy at my craft table pulling together cards that highlight some of our favorite coffee collections. Here are a few recent projects featuring Daily Grind 6x6 Paper Pad, Daily Grind Ephemera, Windowscape Dies, Ghostly Greetings, Wicked Webs, Hello Elongated Die, and more:
-
Let’s Meet for Coffee – a warm café scene card layered with Daily Grind ephemera, framed in a grid for that picture-perfect invitation.
-
Eat, Drink & Be Scary! – a Halloween twist with a ghost, pumpkin, and webs peeking into the coffee shop through the Windowscape die.
-
Coffee & Friends – patterned coffee mugs in the background and cozy coffeehouse vibes framed with the Hello Elongated Die.
Want to recreate the samples? Here’s a quick guide:
“Let’s Meet for Coffee” Card
-
Cut a background panel from the Daily Grind 6x6 Paper Pad into 4 - 2" x 2.125".
-
Cut color coordinated cardstock from your stash; 4.125" x 5.375" and adhere to an A2 sized cardbase using tape or glue
-
Use foam adhesive add the Daily Grind grid cut in Step 1
-
Layer café scene ephemera in the center with a circular die.
-
Add sentiment strip: Let’s meet for coffee from the ephemera pack

“Eat, Drink & Be Scary” Card
-
Ink-blend a brick background using the Brick Stencil onto an A2 card base.
-
Take one of the 6x6 coffee shop scenes from the Daily Grind Paper Pack and cut it in half; the 3-inch section fits behind the windowscape die, requiring only some detailed cutting around the top to complete it.
-
Die-cut a Windowscape Die from teal cardstock and layer it over foilable acetate that has had gray alcohol ink added to it. I use my rechargeable airbrush to move and dry the ink on the acetate; adhere it to the Windowscape die with glue, and let it dry.
💡Put the inky side of the acetate facing the card.
-
Use mounting foam to the back of the Windowscape and adhere to your coffee shop scene, adhere to brick stenciled cardbase (A2)
-
Add ghost and pumpkin from Ghostly Greetings and Wicked Webs for the Halloween touch.
-
Finish with sentiment strip: Eat, drink, and be scary! from the Spooky Sweet Sentiments Stamp Set

“Coffee & Friends” Card
-
Use coffee-mug patterned paper for the background die cut using the Hello Elongated Die Set.
-
Frame a cozy café ephemera scene with the Hello Elongated Die.
-
Use This Calls for Confetti's Coffee Rub Ons for the sentiment: Life is better with coffee & friends.
-
Layer everything onto card base for a polished finish.
