Hello friends! Irene here with you today. Fall is right around the corner, which means lots of fall-themed cards. I'm sharing a card made with the new and fabulous Alice's Story Autumn Memories. Let's get started!
I stamped the gorgeous image from the Autumn Memories stamp set onto ivory cardstock with Catherine Pooler Terracotta ink and colored it with Copic markers.
First, I began to color the flowers. I started with Y02 and colored the entire flower. I added Y17 using flicking motions and some shadowing with R35. I used Y08 to blend.
I then colored the tall pumpkin first with Y02; I used Y17 along the lines of the pumpkins and YR68 on the top and bottom portions for shadowing.
I then colored the short pumpkin with Y17 first and added shadows along the top, bottom, and lines with YR68. I blended with YR02.
I colored the stems with YG93 and shadowed them with YG99. I then colored the leaves with YG63 and YG93. I used the darker colors for the corners. I colored the small flowers with Y17 only. I colored the brown stem with E13.
Next, I added more shadows with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I used darker colors, Black #199, and Walnut Brown #177, along the inner petals and lower and top pumpkin sides. I used Burnt Sienna #283 and Midale Cadmium Red #217 to blend the darker shade shadows.
I then added shadows to the right side of the florals and the bottom of the pumpkins with Walnut Brown #177 and Burnt Sienna #283. I blended the shadows with White #101.
Whew! Now that the coloring is done, I added the sentiment. I stamped "Happy Thanksgiving" from the stamp set with the same Terracotta ink. I trimmed the panel to 4x5.25 inches and added it to A2-sized kraft cardstock. Finally, I added three gems from the Alice's Story Honeysuckle mix. All done!
Thanks for reading along!
